nattles_thing I'm sure Rachel_in_WY doesn't mean that way. Please don't pick on words. And I guess being here we all understand potential gender issues hidden in advertisements and other commercial campaigns. We cannot judge only by a particular case but (posted to Have a happy period!)
I think this thread is a very good demonstration of the "reasoning" behind patriarchal and monoheterosexual discourses, how gender issues raised by these are often missed, as well as how other types of voices and reasons are neglected, period. (posted to Have a happy period!)

That's basically right - Marisa Tomei's character was the most humanized portrait of a stripper I've ever seen in a movie.
