I think this thread is a very good demonstration of the "reasoning" behind patriarchal and monoheterosexual discourses, how gender issues raised by these are often missed, as well as how other types of voices and reasons are neglected, period. (posted to Have a happy period!)

That's basically right - Marisa Tomei's character was the most humanized portrait of a stripper I've ever seen in a movie.
