She’ll Make It Greater

This little gem seems to be making the rounds.

Whatever you give a woman, she will make greater. If you give her sperm, she’ll give you a baby. If you give her a house, she’ll give you a home. If you give her groceries, she’ll give you a meal. If you give her a smile, she’ll give you her heart. She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her. So, if you give her a… bit of crap, be ready to receive a ton of shit.

Thank you for in the same paragraph telling women we’re good for babies, housekeeping, cooking. That we will in love at the drop of a hat (’cause we’re emotional like that).  That we’re always giving.  Aaand that whenever we aren’t busy fulfilling those expectations, we’re whining. (Wonderful that the first statement already manages to exclude a whole bunch of women.)

I initially want to respond with statements like:

Give a woman a lab and see her achieve scientific greatness.

Give a woman some skis and watch her break ski jumping records.

And also:

Give a woman equal wages and see her…well, have freakin’ equal wages.

But mostly with: women don’t need your gifts if they are just patriarchal throwbacks.

If you are going to give us anything – Give women your respect , because most of the rest of the stuff that we "evil feminazis" are so up in arms about should flow freely from there.
