- You've never heard of Margaret Trudeau? Really? I mean she was literally in my grade ten history book. Mila Mulroney? Aline Chretien? I absolutely think that the wives of our Prime Ministers (though possibly not the husband of Kim Campbell)are
(posted to First Lady: A Political Figure?) - Interesting note: This commercial has been on tv for the last couple of years but the same actors had British accents. I'm not sure which stations I've seen it on (I'm in Canada) but it has definitely been around for
(posted to Fox News and Cheerios) - I can totally relate but with a different example. I was a member of a competitive choir during high-school (not affiliated with school though). The community is incredibly supportive of the choir and our choir-director is fantastic but I always
(posted to As a former choir-girl, I'm pissed) - I've seen this image a lot on facebook (maybe because I'm in Canada). I didn't think I'd ever say this on Feministing but is this really that big of a deal? I understand how objectification and sexism are embedded into

- Nor am I. I think this is an attempt at humor--in sort of an ironic way. Do you all really think this health organization think that women's sole purpose is to be pretty??? It's making this statement in a tongue-in (posted to Who would we objectify if all the women were to die?)
- "Do you all really think this health organization think that women's sole purpose is to be pretty??" Um, I would assume so, considering the fact that that's what their ad is saying. (posted to Who would we objectify if all the women were to die?)
- In Europe and America the cancer of a neck of a uterus occupies 2 place on prevalence among malignant new growths of women till 45 years (conceding only to a mammary gland cancer) and 1 on number of the lost (posted to Who would we objectify if all the women were to die?)
