Well that's weird cuz my idea of feminist dialogue often includes a heavy criticism of the over-sexualization of women. Maybe these right-wingers have a very different idea of feminism than what I've come across. (posted to Anti-feminists tell me what my book is about: Turning teens into sluts!)
Well this just confirms my presumptions that restraining orders are useless. What's the point of having them if police won't enforce them? Like a piece of paper is gonna stop a dangerous person from acting on his violent tendencies. Well (posted to When U.S. courts won't protect violence survivors)

As someone born and bred in Oakland I'm always proud of my city when they host protests like this. Now that I'm in Fresno, they are few and far between. I've never been arrested for a pro-gay-marriage protest, though I've (posted to Prop 8 protest in Oakland. )

San Jose, CA.: the newspaper estimated there were about 2000 of us. Our LGBT community is more dispersed than San Francisco's, and not as visible or famous as the Castro. So I was really happy to see so many people (posted to Prop 8 protest in Oakland. )
