One thing I don't understand about people like this is that they seem to be obsessed about the idea of "natural," i.e. homosexual behavior is "unnatural" or a woman's right to choose is "unnatural" and against maternal instinct or whatever; (posted to The messed-up case for religious discrimination)
"You just don't understand what we're saying," she replied tartly." That is the response of so many when confronted with the actual content of what they claim. It is so frustrating. I am so proud that there are still other (posted to I can't stand my english class)
I think alot of people are missing the major point of alot of these tests. It doesn't matter how relevant the subject matter is - what matters is can you LEARN something, remember, and do well on a test for (posted to Racism and Sexism in Standardized Testing)

I agree that this kind of behavior ABSOLUTELY should not be tolerated, but I think freedom of expression is too important to discriminate based on beliefs/affiliation. Not only would it absolutely NOT hold water in court, but I just don't (posted to The messed-up case for religious discrimination)
I would echo this. Most people are probably attracted at least somewhat to both sexes, even those are purely heterosexual, yet they still only actually want to have sex and/or a relationship with one or the other. So instead of (posted to Am I *really* a lesbian?)
I know how you feel! I find it confusing because I think that my attraction to women might stem partly from the fact that most women are socialised to compare their own attractiveness to other women, which means that women (posted to Am I *really* a lesbian?)
