@Lilith and the OP: I didn't really take it to be aimed specifically at men or queer women. I felt like it was a statement in opposition to the dominate culture. Both men and women participate in the labeling and (posted to .manifesta of a bad girl.)
Technically both my husband and I hyphenated, but neither of us has gone through the hassle of changing our names. I guess because we haven't changed them through Social Security, our names are actually still as they were before we (posted to The Name Change Issue)
