Ann Friedman, Editor
Ann (26) survived her thoroughly Midwestern, devoutly Catholic upbringing and lived to call herself a committed feminist. She is the deputy editor of The American Prospect, where she occasionally blogs for TAPPED. She was previously the Prospect's web editor, an editorial fellow at Mother Jones magazine, a program associate at Legal Momentum, and a reporter for several local newspapers in Missouri and Iowa. She holds degrees in journalism and Spanish literature from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

- To be honest, I haven't read much 'chick lit' either but I do know that some of it deals with some very important themes. I've heard British author Dorothy Koomsoon is good, the one who's mentioned in the link. But (posted to Weekly Feminist Reader)
