I had seen this in passing, but hadn't watched the video until reading this post and the funniest part is that I didn't even realize it was the Onion (aka not real). It was so true to Cosmo that I (posted to Onion News/Cosmo)
This is a really great post. I have in the past used that kind of line, but I will think of it differently now. I think we are more protective and caring about our loved ones, and that's why we (posted to "That's somebody's sister.")

I believe Ellen was merely joking, especially considering her profession. Since she is the "butch" to Portia's "femme", I believe that her joke merely played on those stereotypes of a wife and husband...when obviously they are now wife and wife. (posted to Ellen's Flub)
