In case everyone is curious, I called the National Domestic Violence hotline yesterday. The woman I spoke to said that I should call the police every time I heard any shouting - even if I am not sure whether the (posted to Living Next to a Domestic Violence Situation)
I think the issue with PETA in particular is that they masquerade as a progressive organization, yet use the same regressive and demeaning marketing tactics that companies like Carl's Jr. use. They exploit women in order to protest the exploitation (posted to PETA objectifies women in DC today; in other news, the sky is still blue!)
