I'd like to say, at this point, after reading the comments, that what I was talking about is the film specifically. That is, without the additional information provided by the book. My point exactly. Basically, the "Who Watches the Watchmen" theme was not really thoroughly explored. In fact, it was counteracted in the resolution of the film - where (without stating what happened as someone complained of a spoiler) the not-so-super (posted to The Watchmen: Can a superhero stop rape? Video game players are very anti-women. This is partly because women in this culture are very anti-gamer anti-geek. Video games are considered a male specific behavior in the US. Its different in Japan because girls play games there all the (posted to Gaming Communities and Hate Speech)
