i can contest to this...I'm a woman, but my name's Jordan (usually a man's name). when people read my writting and don't know i'm a woman they accept it or are, at least more open to it. but once they (posted to What's in a pen name?)
i'm pretty thick skinned, as you put it, but after looking at this website for a while i really feel bad. it's extreme...i wonder what happened to him that made him hate women so much? but more importantly, i wonder (posted to Just a little disheartened...)
as a UC Riverside student I was appalled by the "gay bashing" (ugh) that occured and the fact that the police have been anything but proactive has just made it worse. Obviously, the UC system is in disarray for more (posted to March 4 Day of Action: Healing the University of California)
