- Jessica, I can't help trying to answer question 1 as well, but I come to different conclusions... like you I've studied this area and I have to say I have a real problem with using rats as human substitutes especially (posted to Ten Feminist Questions I'm Still Exploring)

- Well, if two hyphenated last names married each other than I suppose in theory they could just each pick one half of their hyphenated last name for the children. (posted to Ten Feminist Questions I'm Still Exploring)
- But yeah, having really tiny advantages from patriarchy is what confuses me about the whole thing- we all get screwed by it, so why not just give it up all together, and fully embrace equality, instead of clinging to only (posted to Ten Feminist Questions I'm Still Exploring)
