It's weird, I saw Serenity and one Firefly episode. His work never struck me as particularly feminist. I always found the characters sort of traditional, and the dynamics of the crew seem pretty commonplace to me, like something I've seen (posted to What defines a feminist movie? This really irritates me because it strikes so many nerves in me it's not even funny. I'm a person who goes back and forth from wearing Mary-Janes, hair clips and pencil skirts to punk sweaters, Tripp pants and combat boots (posted to "The Art of Being Feminine")
