- I can't answer directly for the poster you were replying to, but there is a school of thought that a linear view of history/storytelling is more 'masculine' in approach (which is also pretty Western) and dominates our culture, while the (posted to What defines a feminist movie? - It's part of what PDXHopeful says, but I guess more about appreciation of difference in my mind. A linear storyline reinforces the concept of a linear view of time, which goes along with a lot of the ideas of Western (posted to What defines a feminist movie? Ruminations from The Wire....)
- I know a lot of people don't like it because it's sometimes cheesy, but I think Bones is the most feminist show out there today.
