I'm sorry but I think you need to be a citizen of a country to vote in that country's elections. I think most countries that have elections do it that way. If the problem is that it's not easy enough (posted to I can't vote...)
Sorry for not covering all bases - long term or permanent visa. "Also, they idea that non-citizens should be able to vote just seems ridiculous....Do you think people should just be able to move from country to country and vote (posted to I can't vote...)
I look at it like this: in the primary election (in California, I don't know how it was in other states), I could not vote in the Republican primary, because I'm not a Republican. The outcome of that primary certainly (posted to I can't vote...)
I think anyone who pays taxes should be allowed to vote, because they are contributing and should be allowed to have input on how their contributions are used. If you bear the burden of taxation, it seems only reasonable to (posted to I can't vote...)
