that was AWESOME. What a fabulous mini-documentary. Just in depth enough to tell the story and succint enough to make it easy to share.
oh and by the way, the marriage proposal at the end made me cry :)
Awesome! I didn't surprise me that there will still sodomy laws in the books as recently as 6 years ago, but it does surprise me (I must be very naive) that they were enforced. I also don't understand how it could be legal for the police to enter a home and 'catch' someone in the act of 'illegal sex' without breaking other laws to protect people's privacy.
In Lawrence v Texas, the police officer went to the home because one of the residents had received a traffic citation - the cop talked his way into the house to serve the citation, saw two men who had nothing to do with the case having sex in a back room and he arrested them for sodomy.
Wow... why did I think Lawrence v Texas happened in the 70s? That's just shocking!
