HEART

I couldn't agree more. She is unashamedly intellectual and clearly aims to be impartial with everyone she interviews. I think what I appreciate most is, as the article points out, she takes the time to provide the full context of whatever issue is up for debate. Not only that, Maddow has a way of advancing an interesting argument that no one else has yet advanced.

One normally has to find that degree of satisfying analysis on NPR or on the blogs. That the cable news networks cannot or will not demand this sort of standard based on advertising revenue speaks volumes to where our priorities are these days.

One could not write ENOUGH reasons as to why Rachel Maddow is awesome!

I ♥ Rachel Maddow.

And she needs an earlier time block -- I would be OK with her taking Keith Olbermann's spot because, well, he's become the left's Bill O'Reilley or Glenn Beck and it's shameful.

I am in love...Keith Olbderman is...well an aquired taste, like chocolate grasshoppers. She is: classy, intelligent, educated, funny, witty, sweet, and beautiful. Not just her exterior, but her interior as well. I'm so glad she's here, I hope she's here to stay. I'm am so gaga for her, I want to get married to her and EVEN I would change my last name and have her babies. ME!!! I am afraid of childbirth!

I wish I was a woman so I could at least give it a try with Rachel Maddow.

What I like about RM is that she brings a lighter touch than the overbearing and a-little-too-into-himself Keith Olbermann. I also like the fact that she picks up stories not covered elsewhere & attempts to do a slightly more long form analysis. Sometimes I wish she'd be a little more direct & crisp. Very nice balance to MSNBC's primetime lineup tho. Very good balance to all that testosterone.

Rachel can totally expose what an ass a person is with wit and a smile. I love her.

AND she knows how to make a mean cocktail!

Sounds like a post worth elaborating on Artdyke :-)

I love the NY Times interview the article linked out to, even though it's from a year ago:

I seriously love this woman.
