Ginsburg released from hospital
Just a quick update: Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who was admitted to the hospital last week because of "light headedness and fatigue," was released on Friday and back to work the same day. That's what I call bad-ass.

Glad to hear that Justice Ginsburg was feeling well enough to return to work, but I think the pressure to return to work - on the same day as a hospital discharge no less - is a dangerous trend to praise as 'bad-ass.'
Pressure to stay at work at the expense of seeking medical care or caring for one's personal health demonstrates the priority the capitalistic, fee-for-service US economy and labor markets place on being present, with little concern for physical health.
I'm a current medical student, and the pressure that health care workers themselves face to go to work or stay at work even while ill instead of seeking care ourselves or staying home -- which, in this case means coming to the hospital and exposing sick patients to our own ailments, is a public health concern!
Good point, Jenny, thanks for bringing that up.
