Since we didn't have Monday Monty Blogging yesterday (and due to a couple of readers' requests via Facebook), I thought I'd give a little update on Monty's cousin, Tweet, who I've blogged about before.
She not only has huge feet, but lays on her back all day like a dog so I can scratch her tummy. She also plays fetch; I'm completely convinced she's a dog in a cat's body.
Tweet is also the sweetest cat in the world, so sweet that she wants to lick her brother's face. All day. There's a short video after the jump of her trying to get his face in her grip so she can clean him up, then gives up after much resistance.
Sorry it's a wee pixelated.

This sounds like my dear departed kitty, he was part Maine Coone, does Tweet have a weird chirping meow? MC's are known to have all those characteristics, up to and including playing fetch.
And then there's the story you posted of how Tweet comes running over each time you sing!
I think we've officially got a "best pet" competition going on Feministing between Monty and Tweet.
They're adorable.
silly kitty!
lol I also have a cat-dog who plays fetch, comes running up when you call his name, he greets me at the door like a dog too. There must be some recessive cat-dog gene :-p
Freaking Awesome! My kitty (aptly named "Kitty") is a Norwegian Forest Cat - totally puppy-like as well. Keep your kitty posts coming!
Yay for pet blogging about cats! My cat also named Kitty (ElenaArielle it seems we think along the same lines on the pet naming subject) and I very much enjoyed Tuesday Tweet blogging! I hope we see Tweet and Cracker again!
My cats do all those things too-- I'm convinced it has to do with raising cats in well socialized groups. We always got kittens in pairs and had lots of people and other pets and kids petting them and playing with them all the time, and they grew up to be very friendly and affectionate and they beg at the table for food and get along with the dog.
People always think of cats as unfriendly, but then, what do you expect when you lock it in a house for its whole life and leave it alone all day. At least dogs get taken on walks.
