Breaking: WaPo pulls Mouthpiece Theater after mad bitch "joke"
Remember how last week, in an episode of the much-derided web series Mouthpiece Theater, Washington Post reporters Dana Milbank and Chris Cillizza joked that "Mad Bitch" beer would be an appropriate beverage for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton? Well, after TPMDC's initial report on the episode, the Post has killed the feature entirely."I don't think the series worked as they intended," said Post Executive Editor Marcus Brauchli. "It was meant to be funny and insightful and translate the superb journalism Chris and Dana do in print and online into a new format."
But...it wasn't. The Clinton joke, he said, was "a serious lapse. . . . It's really beneath us and not something we should engage in."
Cillizza says at the end of the day the show "wasn't funny." I couldn't agree more.

Hillary can't catch a damn break!
The Huffington Post headline a few hours ago was "BILL UPSTAGES HILLARY... ONCE AGAIN" The blog has sense enough to publish the following article as damage control. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/michelle-kraus/yikes-bill-did-not-upstag_b_252157.html
Wait! Wait! Don't forget Sarah Palin got called an "Arctic Devil"!
It seems anything to do with women or sex got a stereotypical bent--- Gov Stafford's beer is "XXX" and another divorced senator got "Bitter Woman" beer.
Ultimately, the clip was 2:50 minutes way too long and not funny. That parody made me cry with laughter though!
"It was meant to be funny and insightful and translate the superb journalism Chris and Dana do in print and online into a new format."
Well, it wasn't funny or insightful, but it did translate the "superb journalism" of Chris and Dana pretty (sadly) accurately. Oh, and only the WP would think of web video as a "new format."
