New Net Neutrality Bill in Congress

Net Neutrality, while not an issue I'm extremely educated about, could have serious repercussions for all internet users, but especially alternative websites like Feministing. Check out this video below and see what free press is doing to support this new legislation.

When I tried to sign the petition, it refused to let me submit the form until I selected a Title.

Instead of signing, I sent them this email.

I would love to sign the petition. However, I am not a Dr. and I do not identify as Mr., Ms., Mrs. or Miss. Why is this required?

Not everyone in the world fits into such convenient categories. If you are fighting for Net Neutrality to preserve a diverse freedom of expression on the Internet, please do not restrict such freedom on your website.

If this is required by the government when someone signs a petition, I can understand and I will be happy to sign. If not, please do not make the title a required field.

Thank you,
Todd

Yeah,

I prefer it when the "Title" is left blank and optional so we can answer these on our own. I typically choose Ms., as favorite title for myself isn't listed. I'd love to go by Priestess or HP on these kinds of standardized forms, for instance, but as it's not listed, I choose the next best thing for helping my peers in politics, which is a nice, formidable, straight-up MS.

This is a cool video, but why do I feel like it is masking a real issue with funny graphics and cutting together a bunch of videos?

Good beginning, but I need to research this even more. I've never even heard of this.
