Simply: heartbreaking.
It's so heartbreaking because what happens with so many families of trans children will shun them. I didn't talk to my family for over 3 years. She had the full support of her family, they loverd her... and still somebody had to fuck it up.
She was blessed with a wonderful family, and it breaks my heart to see them in so much pain and misery. My heart is with them in this tough time.
RIP Angie.
:(
I feel so bad for this family. Angie R.I.P.
That was so sad, but I wanted to watch the whole thing because that's what her family want: for this message to be heard clearly and loudly. Angie was lucky to have such a supportive and loving family, and they obviously know how lucky they were to have her, exactly as she was, for a too-short time.
oh dear. that is heartbreaking. i have been thinking about this young woman so much recently. i hope her family can find peace and healing.
It's so deeply saddening - especially the part about Angie's mother having to see her daughter being buried. I cannot even begin to imagine how painful it must be for a parent to outlive his/her child - and especially when the child was taken in such a violent and horrifying way. My heart goes out to her family :(
RIP Angie...
Angie Zapata was truly lucky to have such a wonderful and caring family. There is some comfort that the conviction of Allen Ray Andrade marked the first time that Colorado’s gender identity-inclusive hate crimes statute was used in a murder case of a transgender person and it was used successfully. But it still doesn't bring Angie back. Progress for the LGBT community shouldn't have to come at that price.
This video is deeply saddening, but (as previous commentators have noted) there was some joy to be had from it: the love that Angie and her family shared before her untimely death. My heart goes out to them!
