A Sarah Haskins movie?

Kay Steiger recently interviewed Sarah Haskins, who revealed she has sold a screenplay!

"I just sold a screenplay with my writing partner, a friend I knew from college. That's very exciting. The protagonists are two girls," she said. "That's been awesome and hopefully it'll get made. That's sort of the Hollywood thing and where you don't know if any of that will ever happen."

Here's hoping it does.

OH MY GOD.

There is no part of this that is not awesome.

Except the part about it being a Hollywood thing that may never happen. ):

YESSS.
My friends and I sat down the other day and tried to think of any disney movie with a female main character who had a female friend.
The answer? Pocahontas kinda sorta has a female friend who nags her and then she dumps her female friend to spend time with her new boyfriend.
That is the best one we could come up with.

There is a new Disney Princess movie coming out called The Princess and the Frog and it features Princess Tiana who is black. Progress for Disney? Maybe, but maybe not...here is the synopsis from Wikipedia:

The film, which began production under the working title The Frog Princess, will be an American fairy tale, Broadway-style musical set in the French Quarter of New Orleans. A prince named Naveen from the land of Maldonia,[5] is transformed into a frog by the evil scheming voodoo magician Dr. Facilier. The frog prince asks a waitress named Tiana to break the spell by kissing him. However, the kiss doesn't break the spell but rather makes Tiana a frog, as well. Together the two of them must reach the good voodoo priestess of the Bayou, Mama Odie, while befriending a trumpet playing alligator and a hopelessly romantic firefly along the way. The film is set to be released on December 11, 2009.

Still no female main character with a female friend. Never thought about that lack of female friends before. Very weird.

Oh and I would LOVE to see Sarah Haskins movie!!! woo!!

You did not notice, that the love for us has turned to the typical scenario of the Hollywood film - a meeting, development, to it a high together, then by all means they have sex and as - all so is smartly removed, the wrinkles, any awkward movement, all is simple - ideally, then, under the scenario, they have a conflict - necessarily that one accuses another, beats its words in a breast and is proud leaves, leaving "favourite" in loneliness...
