Happy Thanksgiving, Crew!

Not the massacre of native people "Happy Thanksgiving," but the thankful for our lives and communities and feminism and progress "Happy Thanksgiving." We're certainly deeply grateful for all of our readers and community posters--you all make this space truly alive and dynamic.
And, thus, feminism alive and dynamic. I'll drink a glass of wine and eat some mac n' cheese to that lovely thought.
By the way, we're taking the day off and will be back tomorrow with limited posting.

Thanks from me as well!
I've been Feministing for these last six months- I found out about it while living in Brooklyn- and I'm so glad I have some connection to a feminist community while I live in Dublin, the capital of a country that scares me its so misogynistic: think no abortion even in cases of rape or incest, resulting two years ago in a 11 year old giving birth to her uncle's baby, or a immigrant woman just last year being demonized in the media after seeking medical treatment for a back-alley abortion- the newspapers named the 'baby' and called her 'his alleged murderer... and mother'.
I've been meaning to write a Feministing community blog post about my experiences here, and I will prioritize it since I'm so thankful for everyone else putting their time and thought into this, the wonderful editors and all contributors!
xok.
Thanks for running this great site! :)
Thanks for the site!
one thing though: could you say 'people' instead of 'native people'
IDK why, but it just seems weird to me.
Why is that weird? The history of Thanksgiving is based off of the exploitation and murder of Native Americans. If she had said "people" it could mean basically anybody.
Grateful for this site and for the feminists to all come together and work it!
Thanks for being feminists online. And for good healthy food... women who save the seeds that are maintaining a quickly vanishing food diversity. I found your site googling: "Women feminist farmers blogging" (alas I can find no hersters) but did come across a Feministing article on women farmers from last year.
Any feminist farmers out there? Check out my blog
Thanks! Anne
Ann Coulter has had her jaw wired shut.
Let us give thanks.
Yay! Just what I always wanted for the holidays!
Nitpick: she can still write, right? I mean, I know I don't need an open jaw to speak up here. ;)
Yes - thanks all for your work on my favourite website. And I think the feminist fightback is gathering speed - increasingly more posts and blogs from proud feminists, a new one just starting up calling itself hairyitis ......!
happy holidays all
