Random Friday Cuteness

I know this has nothing to do with feminism, but A. I think it's always good to end the week on a good note, and B. This little french girl was just too adorable and made me think of one of my favorite movies, Amelie. For fans of the film, is this not the real-life version of Amelie as a child?? Sigh.

Thanks to Michael for the link!

I could listen to that girl say "hippopotamus" in French all day and still find in funny and adorable.

when my oldest on was little he would say "hippo-thomas."

it lasted only for a week though, then he said it "right" and never looked back.

Best. Video. Ever. And I actually followed 95% of the French! Useless double-major my ass...

Me too! Isn't it exciting!

She is actually the sweetest thing alive. I hope she doesn't lose her crazy imagination as she gets older...My favourite bit was "and the hippopotamus was allergic to magic"...

I don't think I've ever heard a little kid speaking French before, but now that I have, I think I can say it's the cutest thing ever. :P

Adorable! Just like the Obama babies, this made my ovaries tickle.

She is adorable to begin with, but what makes her even more adorable and utterly amazing is that she incorporates social commentary into her fantastic story! People who wanted to put the animals who were too poor to eat or pay in jail? She's talking about class warfare of the powerful against the disenfranchised! This child is a ridiculously wonderful storyteller!

One of my roommates showed this to me the other day. We've been randomly saying, "Le crocodile a mangé les bébés!" ever since.

I'm going to get baby rabies if I watch that too long!

Nothing to do with feminism??? This little girl is articulate, intelligent, and encouraged by her mother(?) This is feminism in action.

Aww. Elle est adorable.

love french kids. while in france they were the only ones that spoke slow enough to understand.

Amazing. And I love that her mother (or the French woman recording her?) never corrects her-- she's let her go off on heaven and magic as though she's a true authority on the subject. Which, in my humble opinion, she certainly is.
