Excitement!! My friend said she heard that it apparently wasn't so great of a film, but as far as homosexuality on the big screen goes, I've got to like it more than Brokeback Mountain. (I hate love stories. And love.)

I saw the documentary, "The Times of Harvey Milk," a few years ago. His story is incredibly inspiring. That documentary was powerful enough. I hope the film can match its power.

Oh my! This was shot in my neighborhood! They had it all decked out like it was 30 years ago...so cool, and I can't wait to see the final product!

I'm curious to see how they'll handle the character of Michael Wong, one of Milk's political advisors. Back when they were casting it, they definitely went the asexual Asian nerd route, as reported by Angry Asian Man, asking for "very nerdy" types only.

Looks like a great movie! I wish it were about a lesbian instead. It always seems like theres a bias for putting male characters that are innovators on the big screen.

I saw the trailer when I saw The Duchess on Saturday. I definitely want to check this out too!

Gopher -- Harvey Milk isn't a character, he was a real person, the first openly gay person (man or woman) to be an elected official in the US. Not to say, of course, that it wouldn't be awesome to have a movie made about the first lesbian elected official -- it would be great -- just not in the retelling of the Milk story.

This movie looks really good. I definitely want to check and out and learn more about the life of Harvey Milk. I think everyone should go see it since it was such an historical event for not only the queer community, but for the nation.
