National Latino AIDS Awareness Day

Today is National Latino AIDS Awareness Day.
HIV/AIDS is the third leading cause of death among Hispanic men ages 35 to 44 and the fourth leading cause of death among Hispanic women in the same age group.
In honor of NLAAD, check out Ambiente, a bilingual online Latino LGBT publication.

I think this is a great event! Bringing awareness to the community is a key in prevention. Hispanic Heritage is a great time to put this information out there to help improve the lives of people everywhere.
In addition to this event, right now, there's one influential Hispanic out there doing her part as well, in a fun, interactive way!
