Monday Monty Blogging (wrestling edition)
Monty is in love with these big cigar-like rawhide bone things. When he has one, he carries it around with him everywhere, even if he's not chewing on it. It's like a chewable security blanket. So late last night I decided to wrestle him for it. He won. (And yes, I wear glasses occasionally. I'm getting old and can't see the TV screen anymore. Sigh.)

My dog loves those things too! We get them in a big bag at Costco. We call them chewies.
Oh! So cute :) Beans loves them too but he just carries it around, whining and whining in search of a place to bury it. Eventually he buries it inside my pillow case (yes, like INSIDE the pillow case...) haha :) Gotta love doggies!!!!! :)
um. looks a lot more dildo-like than cigar-like to me.
Monty may love those rawhides, but please consider switiching him to Kongs, biscuits or real bones. Rawhide is treated with lye and/or bleach, which are bad things for doggies to ingest on a regular basis, and the hide itself is well-known for swelling up and blocking dogs' intestinal tracts, leading to painful and expensive surgery or even death. Another little snack that Monty might like that won't hurt his tummy is sundried pigs ears - I don't know if you can get them in the States, but my doggies love them and they're good for their teeth (as a vegetarian I find it tricky to see half chewed up ears though!).
Yeah, my dog plays with Kongs and is occupied for hours with those things. And they are made of a durable/reusable material so you don't have half chewed up pieces of bone everywhere all the time.
