am i supposed to be offended? if so, i'm not. Sarah "Failin" Palin seems to be asking for all this MILF attention. I have no sympathy for her.

Whaaaaat?

That's disgusting. Frankly, I don't believe any women deserves or is "asking" to be objectified, and certainly not by the very people who support her. Even if she is a putz.

MILF is so cliche and overused. Much better options beg to be used for Palin, like GILF and VPILF.

Er. The video that plays when you go to the McCain site is of Sarah Palin encouraging people to vote for her – sorry – them. When she says "...we'll bring that change, and we're promising to get to DC and shake things up", the accompanying clip to the last 3 words is her doing a little demure bob-your-fingers-up-and-down wave and the tongue-through-teeth smile. YEAH! LET'S SHAKE UP THIS JOINT!

Rosie,
It's a Maverickette thing. You wouldn't understand.

Shake things up by totally mimicking the current administration, am I right?

Brown Trash Punk, the idea isn't that she's a bad person, but no one, no matter how unfeminists, deserves to have sexism used against them.

You must be new to the internet, and tv and print media.

Can we PLEASE not undermine all the work feminism has done to stop the "blaming the victim" by turning it on women we don't like?

Palin is asking for questions into her qualifications, yes, without a doubt, heap the questions and criticisms on her. She is NOT "asking for all this MILF attention" just like a rape victim wasn't asking for it by wearing a short skirt.

oh, I'm sorry if I offended anybody by my comment...

NOT!

"Palin seems to be asking for all this MILF attention. I have no sympathy for her."

"I'm sorry if I offended anybody by my comment...NOT!"

(BROWN TRASH PUNK)

Ummm, it's not that what you said is particularly offensive to me, rather what you said was a bunch of childish BS. How exactly has Palin ASKED to be called a MILF? Can you give a couple of examples? Because as far as I can see she never stood up and said "Hey everyone, please insult me and call me sexist names!" To me it sounds like you just don't like her or you don't agree with her politics (which is fine, btw, none of us here particularly like her opinions or politics either). But, the point is, regardless of whether or not you agree with someone it's no reason to insult the person or call them sexist names. It's just outright immature for you to say she deserves these insults just because YOU don't particularly like her.

btw, I'm sorry if I have offended you by calling your comments childish and immature...

...NOT!

What I find *really* odd is that it was registered on the 29th... the same day that Palin was announced, meaning folks anticipated the label. It's also interesting to note that it's registered through the same proxy on the same date as McCainPalinVictory2008.com.

Huh.

While I agree that this is disgusting, there's no way to prove that it was set up by the McCain campaign. (although I wouldn't be surprised if it were) Anyone can buy a domain and set it to point to whatever site they wish.

[0+|0-] Author Profile Page Tiffany said:

It's not pointing there anymore, which probably means that someone set the domain to point there without the McCain campaign's input and the campaign put a stop to it.

I know we'd love to pin this sexist little thing on McCain, but fear not, he has plenty of other anti-woman issues to nail him on.

^ Yeah, what Kyle said.

Hasn't "Not" jumped the shark? (Not you meeneecat, I get your satire.)

"MILF" is a shark I'd like to jump!
I am so sorry for that. I swear I am a good liberal!

Could there be some jealousy here because of Palin's good looks combined with the fact that she is not a radical feminist.

MILF jumped the shark a while ago and I've been vomiting every time I hear it in relation to Palin.

What's up w/ Palin always referring to the USA as "she"?

Oh, come on, Mags. That meme died ages ago.

Kyle Jackson - someone whosis-ed it, and this seems to be pretty convincing that either the GOP or McCain's campaign own the domain name:

- URL Registered within ~36 hours of McCain’s Decision to select Palin as running mate
- Redirect sends users specifically to a palin.htm file, but only on the FIRST redirect
- Whois Privacy Information Matches JohnMcCain.com Whois Privacy
- URL Held by same registrar
- Note that the .net and .org versions also redirect to the McCain Campaign Website.
Network Tools.com Trace Route:
- 64.203.107.149 (VoteForTheMILF.com)
- 64.203.107.149 (JohnMcCain.com)

There's someother interesting tidbits at govgap.com, but that's the basic core of why it it looks very much like they do own it.
