I thought it was hilarious. I was telling my husband that if someone didn't know who tina fey was they probably would have thought that was actually Palin, the resemblance is unbelievable.

The video is down now, but I knew when I saw Palin on TV the first time that the SNL folks would all turn and point at Tina.

Fey and Palin are definately complete doppelgangers, especially since one is one of my favorite people, and the other haunts me. You guess which.
It was Amy who really nailed it here:
"An issue I am frankly surprised to hear people suddenly care about!"

That. Was. Amazing.

So spot on. Even the voice was perfect.

I thought this was really good :)
Of course, the visual side of it was so spot on that I found myself looking at tiny mistakes Fey made. I think her accent was a bit too strong. Palin's accent is a bit more flat. *shrug*
Overall, A+ though :) Should make for some fun sketches.

My mother, who has been watching SNL since it's premier 30 years ago, actually flipped out last night because she thought it was really Palin and couldn't bare to watch...until she realized it was Tina Fey.

It's amazing how SNL has been an accurate cultural and political barometer for the last 33 years.

That skit made me a little sad.

For some reason I thought the best part was where Poehler, as Clinton, suggested someone ask her about dinosaurs.

Thought it was a subtle way to illustrate how the McCain campaign has been hiding her from the press. In addition it inferred just how unreasonable, illogical, and far fetched her stances are.

"I'll lend you mine" that was awesome!!!

Global warming - "that's just God hugging us closer!"

Classic.

Maybe somebody could kidnap Palin and Fey could take her place?

I was so happy to see this. With the Daily Show off this week, I didn't know what to do with myself - thank goodness for SNL, I hope they keep up the good work until November.

Jessica: I blog for Babeland and I wanted to let you know about a little project Babeland is doing for our 15th anniversary. We're asking people that we love who have blogs to write a post about what Babeland has meant to them over the years. I'll cross post it on the Babeland blog to help send some traffic your way also. If you want to participate, just let me know when you've written the post and I'll cross post it!

I LOVED this last night! Love Tina and Amy. Makes me sad that Amy will probably be leaving SNL soon. She's one of my faves.

"I disagree with the Bush Doctrine."
"I don't know what that is!"

This was probably one of the best sketches I have ever seen on SNL.

This goes on my list of favorite SNL sketches. Right up there with Al Gore addressing the country as president, Eddie Murphy making himself white, and Cowbell.

Hilarious!

The best part of the skit was when "Palin" introduces the issue by saying, "we are crossing party lines to address the very ugly role that sexism is playing in the campaign" and "Hillary" said, "an issue frankly that I am surprised to hear people suddenly care about."

Thats spot on.

MLEmac, same here but I would have added the Tunis sketches.

Personally, I howled at this line:

"I don't want to hear you compare your road to the White House with my road to the White House. I scratched and clawed through mud and barbed wire, and you just glided in on a dog sled wearing your pageant sash and your Tina Fey glasses!" A lovely bit of meta, I thought.

So awesome. Fey & Poehler rock!

I liked Gina Gershon's sketch better:

"Global warming is P.S. -polar bear shit!"

The dig at Cheney at the end was great, too.
