Limbaugh calls Obama a "little black man-child"
...and, for good measure, criticizes feminists for decrying violence against women.
On his radio show yesterday, Rush Limbaugh said,
Obama's patriotism is not being attacked in an ad. McCain's just out there saying he's putting his own personal political ambition ahead of the country's. It's -- you know, it's just -- it's just we can't hit the girl. I don't care how far feminism's saying, you can't hit the girl, and you can't -- you can't criticize the little black man-child. You just can't do it, 'cause it's just not right. It's not fair. He's such a victim.
Ah yes, those ridiculous feminists trying to convince the American people that domestic violence is a bad thing -- even if she was asking for it. And that ridiculous media, daring to publish anything favorable about a black man.
I can't say I'm surprised, though. It's Limbaugh.
Seems like an appropriate moment to republish Samhita's "fuck you" to Limbaugh:

Not trying to defend Limbaugh, but when he says "you can't hit the girl," I don't think he was referring to domestic abuse; he was saying that our media thinks it unacceptable to criticize women because they are "victimized." Not saying that that is better, it just isn't meant in the most literal of terms.
In Limbaugh's defense, he was hopped up on Viagra and Oxycontin. People with crazy boners who are high on hillbilly heroin will do anything.
Obama's patriotism is not being attacked in an ad. McCain's just out there saying he's putting his own personal political ambition ahead of the country's.
Um...how is accusing a presidential hopeful of exploiting the country for personal gain not attacking his patriotism? That's like saying "I didn't assault the guy - I just kicked him in the balls!"
You know it's pretty funny for John McCain to go after anyone's credibility or patriotism. Wasn't he the guy that suppressed all the salient documents in the Abramoff deal? Something like 800,000 pages were suppressed by McCain, right?
How patriotic is it to completely subvert the American justice system? McCain got at least $100,000 from an Abramoff associate. Talk about "personal gain".
And remember these repubtards are the same one that gave Kerry crap for marrying a woman of means. Didn't McCain divorce his first wife to marry an heiress who then bankrolled his Arizona campaign (a campaign he entered in a district he knew he was going to have no opposition in where he bought a house the same day he announced candidacy, btw).
McCain for president. Because carpetbagging hypocrisy can be forgiven and overlooked if you got tortured during an illegal war.
Considering Rush is a notorious sexist as well as a racist and has said that women really wish for sexual harassment, he was criticizing feminists for not "accepting" domestic violence. Can we say that he is pro-sexual harassment, pro-domestic abuse now or is that going too far?
Logrus--
Oxycontin is "hillbilly heroin"? Have you paid for a prescription for it lately? It ain't cheap, and most hill folk don't have health insurance.
And please, as much as I hate Limbaugh, let's attack his ideas and not use classist insults. This feminist, and I'm sure many others on here, comes from a long line of hillbillies.
Bifemmefatale - another hillbilly here. Oxycontin is frequently referred to as "hillbilly heroin" because it's the recreational drug of choice in Appalachia (where one doesn't have access to most hard street drugs), and because it mimics the effects of heroin. I'm sure Logrus wasn't slamming anyone intentionally. Except for Rush, of course. But he more than deserves it.
bifemmefatale:
I'm from Swainsboro GA (http://www.cityofswainsboro.org/) . While not Appalachia, pretty much anyone from a town with a population greater than 7,000 (that's Swainsboro's pop +-) wouldn't know the diff between a redneck and a hillbilly. I meant no offense to hill folk. Us rednecks and hill folk have a lot in common.
I just like the alliterative phrasing of "hillbilly heroin".
As to his ideas, reminding folks that Limbaugh is a junkie also, I hope, reminds them that he's a junkie who has stated repeatedly his hard ass approach to the criminal code as applied to drug users and addicts. Going so far as to state that families who shelter or house their own drug using kids should be evicted from public housing for so much as letting a drug using child sleep on a couch for one night; but disregarding his close persona friend Jeb Bush has a daughter (Noelle) who has been repeatedly arrested for possession and forged prescriptions and has lived with her family in the Governor's mansion (state property, but exempt from the state's public housing drug user ban).
Mentioning the Viagra thing just amuses me. Although there is some indication that the last time he got busted he was returning with a case full of Viagra and Oxycontin from a notorious Haitian haven for underage homosexual prostitution; even if he wasn't going there to fuck young boys he was very possibly conducting drug transactions with (and thus funding the activities of) people who work in that endeavor.
We must never cease top question the morality of those who make morality the issue.
Not hillbillies! "Sons and daughters of the soil!"
And whatever happened to good ol' fashioned gas-on-a-rag?
norbizness: Have you been to a gas station lately? Hard drugs are cheaper.

LOL @ Logrus... nice one!
Like...Rush? Really? People still actually listen to this guy?
He's just one of those ridiculous political characters that will keep talking so long as someone keeps paying him! He has 0 credibility. Who really cares?
PS- lol@ Logrus & norbizness
Re Danyell
There must be plenty of people listening to this Rush guy if they've just paid him 400 million to keep talking. Success in the media is defined by numbers of listeners and ability to pull in the advertising dollar for maximum exposure, so in those terms he must be worth a lot for them to be paying him such obscene amounts. So yes, people do actually listen to this guy. This is the scary part. There is a large audience out there for whom his racist and sexist comments reinforce their own self-perception of being mainstream, acceptable and superior. It would be great to dismiss him by saying he has zero credibility, but he and his type in all forms of the media, exert enormous influence over public opinion and the perpetuation of discrimination in all its forms. Because of that, I think it is necessary for people to challenge his views, and expose the power base he represents in being paid to spout off the way he does about particular people and groups in society.
