Let me school you (Or just come shoot spitballs at me. Whichever.)
Just a quick note to any Rutgers students out there who happen to be readers of the blog. I'm teaching a class this fall for the Women's and Gender Studies program: Gender and Popular Culture. I'm really excited to re-connect with my academic roots, and to get to hang with some of the smartest students around (yeah, I'm not exactly objective having gotten my MA at Rutgers, but whatevs). So if you go to Rutgers and want to talk feminism and pop culture, sign up for the class...see you the fall!

Ahh! I wish I went to Rutgers just for that class! :(
By the way - did you see Paris Hilton's rebuttal of McCain's "celebrity" ad?
ah so close! come visit your neighbors up north one day (Ramapo College). Our women's center loves Feministing!
Now I'm jealous of my friend that goes to Rutgers. Could you defect for a day and come visit their rival Seton Hall?
I'm an adult Rutgers student slogging my way towards a degree. I'll definitely check out that class. Unfortunately, I work full time in the City so I can take only night classes. I'll have to check the schedule.
Thanks for the heads up!
Ugh I'm jealous. I want to take it but I'm all the way in southern California.
I wish my women's studies teacher was a feminist. How the hell can someone be a women's studies teacher and not be a feminist? Well mine wasn't. GRR
Awesome!
Too bad I don't go to Rutgers.
Would you be willing to come to a small, conservative, religious university in Texas - in the middle of nowhere - and teach that class?
i'm jealous!
so i actually go to rutgers! i'll def look this class up (hopefully it doesn't get filled up!)
I'm so sad! I go to Rutgers, but I finish up classes next week. I wish I could've taken all of the WGS courses offered, because Rutgers has a really fantastic faculty.
I took that class the semester before last with Liz Ruchti and it is such a broad and fantastic topic. I loved it, and I'm sure you are going to do wonders with it! (Almost wish I could take it again!)
Good luck with the unavoidable devil's advocate!
i was really looking forward to this class but i dont have the prereqs to take it, since i'm entering as a freshman now, any chance you'll teach it again?
