Who hearts Rachel Maddow?

Because I certainly do. And my crush was re-established last night when I got to see her in action (along with Paul Rieckhoff) at Lizz Winstead's Shoot the Messenger. It was bad-ass. Since a video of the show won't be up right away, I figured I'd get my Maddow-fix elsewhere for now. Above is a somewhat recent video of her take on McCain's birth control stumble, which also features the super cool Nation editor (and fellow outer borough native) Chris Hayes. Enjoy!

I do! I do!!!

That was brilliant. She actually used *gasp* facts about his voting record! It's almost as though someone in the main-stream media were interested in doing some reporting...

Give us more, Rachel!

YES! Can we get this woman a show please? AirAmerica is good...but TV would be better. My fav is when she refused to back down to Scarborough.

Or when she actualy pressed the issue of SEXISM when she was guest hosting Race for the White House.

I promise to tivo it and watch the commercials twice a day if someone will give this woman a show.

*I* heart Chris Hayes. I'm sure I'll begin to heart Rachel Maddow once I learn more about her -starting with the helpful links provided by Kristen.

She's at the top of my very short list of media heroes. She's the sharpest political correspondent there is, and, well, hot. Who wouldn't have a crush on her?
During the primary season, it was always fun to see her put Pat Buchanan in his place.
As my girlfriend frequently says:
Maddow for President!!!

The highlight of watching MSNBC, the only reasonable talking heads channel on cable, is catching Rachel as a guest on or guest host of almost every evening political show.

She so intelligent, resourceful, and sharp - who doesn't love this woman?

She is, in a phrase, en fuego!

I freakin' LOVE Rachel Maddow. I love her braininess, her calm and confident demeanor, and her ability to think quickly on her feet and make insightful arguments on a broad and complex range of issues. I love the way she humors Keith Olbermann every evening (you can see it on her face). I love the way she consistently puts inferior Republican spokesmen in their place intellectually. I love the way she can go toe to toe with Pat Buchanan. I loved the way she wore the extra makeup the week she replaced Olbermann, as if her subtle message were "yeah, I'm a lesbian, but I can charm the pants off anybody (not that way)". I LOVE that she is openly a lesbian and proud of it. I once wrote that I want a daughter like Karen Finerman someday, but if she turned out as good as Rachel Maddow, that would be fine by me, too. If CNBC were staffed with the Rachel Maddows of the world and not the Becky Quicks and Michelle Caruso-Cabreras, there would be NO CNBC Sucks!!!

And you thought you knew this MFer (misogynist-feminist)...

Rachel Maddow is the reason I still have faith in cable news. She is simply incredible- smart and funny and charismatic. Plus, she's hot and I have a massive crush on her.

I hope the powers that be will finally give her her own show this year, preferably before the election.

I love her! I remember when she stood up to Pat Buchanan for telling Keli Goff to "shut up" on Dan Abrams's show. I really think she should have her own show on MSNBC. The stand in guy for Abrams is just fine, but I make sure not to miss it when Rachel stands in for Olbermann.
