From the Associated Press: "Gay couples in Norway will be granted the same rights as heterosexuals to marry, adopt and undergo artificial insemination under a new equality law passed Tuesday."

My boyfriend is Norwegian and currently lives there, he sent me this when the news broke with a three-word comment: "About bloody time!" :D
This makes me so happy...I'm part Norwegian and I love feeling pride for my people. Though I can just predict how the wingnuts will react..."it's the end of Norwegian civilization as we know it"...ergh.
Anyway, I'm damn excited.
The end of Norwegian civilization "as they knew it" already came. It was when they stopped, you know, invading, raping, pillaging and enslaving their way thru the European continent, Britain and Ireland. Basically, the moment Hagar the horrible became Hagar, the mild mannered civil engineer.
This is just a good day for gay Norwegians. :)
Do they make "his and his" bath towels? I'm going to a gay wedding two months from now.
