That's not change we can believe in .

This scenario has already been implemented, its called a crisis pregnancy center! I think we need more media awareness about those shams.

Freaky! We will not let this happen!

Wait, he's voted against birth control?

I appreciate that this clip draws attention to John McCain's stance on reproductive rights. What I don't like is the way conservatism is represented by a frosty (and frosted) middle-aged woman. The woman we're meant to identify with is a generation (give or take a few years) younger. I know it's nit-picky, but I wish the makers of this piece had been more sensitive to the tension that appears to exist between many older and younger feminists. Why use such stereotypical representations? Making the damning character so much older than the heroine just seems to reinforce a sense that older and younger women can't occupy the same feminist space.

I would have liked to see a male nurse or even a clergy member posing as a nurse or doctor. I think it would have made the point more effectively.

Head over to the website for some very good information on the 9 million other reasons to vote Obama.

Now it says the video is no longer available.

Not only has McCain voted against birth control, but he's voted against sex education... international family planning... and would like to see Roe V. Wade overturned.

Go to www.plannedparenthoodvotes.org for the run down on this so-called "maverick's" real positions on women's health.

Oh, for fuck's sake, never mind the age of the clinic receptionist in the piece. It gets the point across, doesn't it?

Awesome and hilarious video.

The actress who plays the nurse is surprisingly (for a relatively low profile vid) skillful and a pleasure/fright to watch.

I agree that it would be interesting and telling to have a male nurse--scratch that, maybe a slick politician-looking man in a suit--but let's not forget that woman /=/ pro-contraception.

I read a bit in an article about McCain today that said that married women vote Republican by a huge ratio compared to single women, who tend to vote Dem.

Thoughts on why? Seriously--I'd like to hear others' take.
