Fat Dinosity

So this is kind of a nepotistic plug, but a friend of mine made and posted this short video (semi-claymation style!) and I thought it was cool enough to share here. It's called Fat Dinosity, and that's Erin (the creator and a high school classmate) staring in the video.

What do you all think?

"Wanna go buy horizontal striped shirts?"

Aw, I needed that. Also I am jealous that you have such cool friends.

I went to college with her and worked with her on some activist stuff. She's so awesome! For her senior project she made this amazing documentary called Embodied Revolution. It's about gender, queer, and fat activism. If you ever come across a copy, I highly recommend it. Totally a badass lady!

Horizontal striped shirts! I'm in love. :D

The fat-phobic corporate media may never hire Erin as a professional model.

But she's something much better: a ROLE MODEL. One of the most positive and healthy I've ever seen!

This video is a beautiful piece of art. It demonstrates, through animation and dance, that beauty, contrary to popular myth, is not a noun, but a verb. May much beauty continue to come out of this glorious work!

Wow, that's the first time in YEARS I've come across anyone who looks almost exactly the way I did when I was her age (a long long time ago). Of course I wasn't nearly as talented! Go Erin!!

Erin is super cool. I met her when she came to my college's women's resource center to show her movie - embodied revolution. Search for it online and check it out! It's really good! It's all about gender based and body activism.

Thanks for posting this!
