Fun with Feminist Flickr (delicious edition)

Holy shit, this made me crave a cupcake like you wouldn't believe. If only they had a Magnolia in Queens...

ooh, yes! these are all vegan, too--i saw them first on the post-punk kitchen (amazing vegan site).
Those do look good. But there's no reason to buy cupcakes (which are ridiculously overpriced due to trendiness)--It's super-easy to make your own (and they taste better than the shop-bought ones). This is my favorite: http://www.hersheys.com/recipes/recipes/detail.asp?id=5840&page=2&per=25&fun=1
Sara, I can cook up a storm, but baking and me are not friends. :( I can't help myself, their red velvet cupcakes put me over the moon...
my boyfriend says the same thing! I'm the opposite; I really don't like cooking (I HATE chopping) but I just find baking (except for pies) super easy. And the deal where he cooks and I bake works out better for me.
have you checked out sugar sweet sunshine, on the lower east side? their cupcakes are AMAZING, there's never a line longer than two or three people, and you can actually sit down on cozy sofas and benches. http://www.sugarsweetsunshine.com/tasty.html

oy sorry for the double post. that's obnoxious.

They weren't storebought- they were homemade.
Pamela--
I know that. The baker posted them on the "Food Porn" forum. Baked them for a women's studies gathering or something. Didn't say it was bought (you can't buy any food from theppk.com --it's just a vegan hub of sorts).

I didnt know there was a way to make cupcakes even more appealing, up until now!!!
I know about the ppk :)
I thought you thought they were storebought, I just wanted to give the poster credit since she made them. No worries.
OMG my little cousin I am SO proud of you!! Your cupcakes made this website! You are awesome!
They look really good! What does the carrot symbolize? Are they little carrot-cake cupcakes?
The person who made these is a totally awesome feminist and a fantastic baker. Yay! Feminists do everything better, including vegan cupcakes. And yeah, I think the carrots are because they were carrot cake. Janice, you've got to start bringing cupcakes to LGBTA again!
