Torties are the best cats. Your Kima looks a lot like my Agatha (yes, named after Dame Agatha Christie) except Agatha's a Maine Coon with long hair. Color very similar, though, and it looks like Kima has the same yellow eyes with spring green centers. Agatha is my first cat, and she's amazing. My mom can't get over that she comes when she's called, like a dog. Of course, she wants something for it, unlike a dog. ;)

Finally, some kitteh representation! Dogs are nice and all, but I'm frankly tired of some people implying (or I could certainly be inferring) that "real feminists" (or women in general) have dogs, in order to shun the "crazy cat lady" feminist (or just female) stereotype. Honestly? I could give a crap what people think! I Am The Crazy Cat Lady and Damn Proud Of It; I embrace my craziness for kitties! Cats are absolutely awesome. I don't really have one currently, but my boyfriend and I are moving in together once this term is over (about mid June) and we're getting a kitten together. I'm really excited, a lot more than he is! Or at least I'm more excited about the prospect of getting a kitten than he is. He wants to get a dog, but not very many apartments let you get a dog, especially a big one which is what he wants.

But yes, definitely keep up with the kitty blogging! Monty is adorable, and I love Australian Shepherds, but I'm definitely more of a cat person than a dog person.

Hey, that's my kitty! Seriously, one of my four kitties, Calli, looks just like that, "milk dribble" on the chin and all.

Calli likes to sneak out of the house at night. Now I know where she's been going.

Goddamit, we were going to name our new cat Kima Greggs! I am apparently not as clever as I thought I was.

Awww, she looks just like the short haired tortoie I had growing up, right down to the white spot on her chin! Really, she's the spitting image. I loved that cat.

I really do miss seeing cats on the feminist blog sphere. At least the ones I frequent don't seem to show as many as they used to.
While Monty is cool (i loved the picture with his brother on the other side of the door) I'd like to see more cats.
