Hey look! More presidential election primaries!
I don't know about all of you, but I'm feeling a bit of election fatigue. To help out, a good friend of mine suggested that given how unseasonably warm it is, I pretend that it's summer already. It does kind of help. But thinking of summer always makes me think of this song.
Oh, right. Results. McCain got the number of delegate to make him the official candidate for the republican party. Apparently president Bush will be formally endorsing McCain tomorrow. Obama took Vermont, Clinton has won Rhode Island and Ohio. I am going to bed.

"A bit of election fatigue"? Understandable, seeing as how this election has seemingly dragged on for the past 957 years.
Huckabee actually dropped out of the GOP race. :)
"Apparently president Bush will be formally endorsing McCain tomorrow."
And why shouldn't he, now that McCain has finally caved on waterboarding?
Trivia: from what piece from a famous soul group does Summertime sample?
CNN's reporting that Hillary has taken Ohio. If she also takes Texas this is a whole new race.
I took the evening off from work to go hang out and discuss politics, but played with the cats and read. This past week press-wise was brutal and I'm sick of it all.
Sampling from Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong?
Yeah! That video made my week (especially after my man didn't win Texas). Thanks darlin'!
Looks like Obama and Hillary are neck and neck again. This is like watching a great boxing match: a combination of grippingly close and unbearable suspense all at once. The race is really going all twelve rounds now that this is so close.
The really interesting question is this: if Obama goes into the convention with a slight lead, will Hillary's pull with superdelegates be enough to swing the nomination back to her? And how will that resonate with voters.
Still, this could end up hurting the Democrats. McCain's already the nominee for the Republicans, and his campaign can gear towards November. Obama and Clinton are still going to have to duke it out all the way to August it seems.
I believe that she did win texas . all I know is that I saw that hillary e-mail and was like " wow! om my gods!" she has this thing where you can post either an audio, comment, or even you tube video ; on her site. and well....I " came out" and mentioned being a transsexual feminist woman and how volunteering to do those texas calls; I felt proud to be a woman in america at this moment in history. and yes, how I want her to be my president! I just hope the hell she can keep it going strong, as SHE has the experience to do the best job!
and mc cain , or mc bush, or , pardon me, mc viagra d***head? any woman in her wrong mind who'd vote for mc bush better look at this, www.NARAL.org. it shows that he is as pro life as bush and huckabee both are! being the sassy, liberal "b**ch" and knowing my sister was fixing to vote mc cain- I had to send her that one! maybe he shall be renamed "mc coathanger" or " mc abstinence plan"? yipes! (:

You just reminded me...
http://www.metafilter.com/65537/Australian-Federal-Election-2007-on-November-24
"...Prime Minister John Howard has set the date for the Australian Federal election as November 24th, meaning we're up for a long six-week campaign...
"...The next six weeks are going to be long, grueling and if the experts are to be believed, incredibly negative. Strap yourselves in, folks. It's going to be one hell of a ride."
Thanks for volunteering and supporting Hillary Cheryl Lynne!
I am a die-hard Hillary supporter, and these primaries are getting kind of exhausting, but one look at Hillary or Obama, and I realize that they are both working five hundred times harder than I ever could.
I know she still has a tough fight ahead of her, but at least now Obama will stop bragging about his win streak and will hopefully stop pressing her to quit. Hillary Clinton has a lot of flaws, but giving up easy is not one of them.
Whatever happens, this thing is close enough that I want her to finish the race. It's like watching them run a marathon, it doesn't seem right for one of them to drop out right before the finish line and start applauding the other. There's plenty of time for that later.
Go Hillary! Keep making your case and presenting your solutions. People will start to realize that this is an important job interview for the country. Eventually, they might even notice that Obama ran out of vague things to say many, many weeks ago.
best song ever to hear when the weather changes and summer is upon us. A song I refuse to download as I love when it comes on the radio at a random time.
