Er, sorry for the delay on providing information about our redesign. To make it up to you I offer one of my favorite things, a graphic with something silly on the Feministing logo. Well worth the wait, right?

I’m kidding, of course. We’re hard at work getting the new site ready. The Feministing tech hamster is scampering furiously on his wheel (don’t you use a hamster for your website development?). I have to say, I’m very excited about where things are, and should be able to share more details with you all soon. I just took a peek at some of the stuff, and it's looking good. To those of you who made donations, or just gave us your emotional support, thank you, thank you.
Don’t know what I’m talking about? Check out these posts about the site upgrades.

Glad to hear it's not just my computer being funky. :)
Will this finally fix the "error posting comment"/"sorry for the dupe!" posts?
I cannot freakin' wait!
I have suspended my own blog (it was disappearing anyway) and put on hold my plans for my own website because I am more interested in being a part of this thing ya'll have goin' on her'.
The only place previously that I found to blog was yahoo 360 (I HATE computer stuff and learning about computer stuff but I love the nifty things they can do) because it was simple and more importantly had cutsie little avatars that could change clothes. (any chance of cutsie little avatar clothes?) Oh yeah, and like my friends and family were on it too so I felt like someone might be listening to me on occasion. I hope to drag some of my feminist friends over—query do I have any non-feminist friends? If a feminist stops listening to patriarchy does it cease to exist? …..um, must ponder. Anyway, you probably will scare the shit out of my two little brothers—and they thought I was radical—but it will be good for them.
I’m not your typical demographic. I’m older (getting close to 40). Very married work-at-home mom with two kids. I think your views about marriage, family and children need some debate, quite frankly. My family may look quaintly traditional from the outside but we ain’t. For instance, his last name is Jones, mine is Smith and our kid-in-common’s is Stirling. And many of the posts I read here about men seem somewhat stilted, which I’d like to take issue with as well. But overall most of your stuff is enlightening and, overused I know but, empowering.
Now you are doing something very important. Something I’ve been waiting and looking for. You are going to build a community of strong, smart bad-ass women and provide a safe place for them to talk and share ideas as a group. I feel like I get to time-travel back to the early ‘60’s and experience what a consciousness-raising group must have been like. I think those must have been powerful, profound experiences. And I think out of them came some very powerful ideas. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
