Also, there were twice as many counterprotesters as protesters. Honestly, while I am disturbed that even 50 people would show up to support something like this, they seemed like a pretty fringe group. Even avowed racists rarely should overt racial slurs in public. And only one of the knuckleheads was from Jena. So I think that does show that while we may not have arrived, we really have come some distance.
