I'm guest blogging at The Nation
I'm super pleased to be the inaugural guest blogger at The Nation's Passing Through - a new blog that will feature a different guest writer every month. So go check me out (and some of the funny anti-feminist commenters!)

The comments on your post over there read like they were written by a bunch of immature fifteen-year-old boys. At least the non-feminist commenters on Feministing generally offer some substance in their posts.
Yeah--and I love that one guy who has apparently never heard of anyone being pro-choice before, and is shocked to find such an opinion in The Nation.
Congratulations, Jessica, for again finding a larger, more diverse audience for your writing. Also for being the first guest blogger.
For such a "liberal" magazine, some commenters are real idiots.
that's awesome!
it's one thing to write convincingly amongst like minded people, but another to hold strong w/ dissenters, excellent! looking forward to seeing it!
I've found that among many supposed "liberal" leftists, misogyny is just as rampant as anti-Semitism.
Just another reminder that liberalism is NOT the same thing as leftism!
Keep up the good work Jessica
Just finished reading through all the comments.
There were quite a few silly ones and I'm sure many of you have just grown tired of hearing the same things again and again but what is it with the pro-feminism people constantly deriding those
who hold different views?
I agree with my fellow feministing posters about 90% of the time but I try to never make fun of or insult someone personally who holds views opposed to mine. I understand all bets are off on internet message boards but it just seems to get worse every year.
If you find a lot of misogyny among liberal leftists, what have you noticed among libertarians?
"what is it with the pro-feminism people constantly deriding those who hold different views?"
I would agree with you if we were talking about "saving" oneself for marriage or "taking responsibility" for pregnancy by going through with childbirth, but here I am specifically talking about commenters riding Jessica's article because she is a woman, painting her as a paranoid feminist with a victim streak talking BS. They are asses, no matter what their particular views on the real issues may be. I can be perfectly reasonable interacting with eg, stubborn, unapologetic pro-lifers, door to door missionaries, atheists, racists, and convicted criminals with a history of violence against women, even in real life.
