A not-so super man.

The producer of Superman Returns (of all movies) is being sued by two women for sexual discrimination and harassment.

The most recent case was made by a couple who worked for Jon Peters; when informing Peters of her pregnancy, he recommended she have an abortion or her husband would be fired, in which he was shortly after she refused.

The other pending lawsuit was filed in 2005 when an office assistant claims she was harassed daily and physically threatened by Peters.

What a guy.

Have an abortion or I'll fire your husband? That's insane.

The first thing that jumped out at me from the article is that the two women's names are Hispanic. Racism/xenophobia and sexism cocktail? Possibly classim, too. And let me guess, Jon Peters is an old white male, right?

The Brave One is giving me ideas...

Wait, wait . . . come on now. These are just plaintiffs' allegations. Why not wait to discuss this after the adjudication?

"And let me guess, Jon Peters is an old white male, right?" Let's be fair, AngryYoungFemme, and don't assume liability just because he's "an old white male." That's uncalled for.

You learn something new every day: Peters, a 62-year-old former hairdresser, inspired the character portrayed by Warren Beatty in "Shampoo."

Jon Peters is an omega-level douchebag who's brought down at least 1 movie studio and countless projects. This behavior is not at all surprising. His "in" to the business came about by being Barbara Streisand's hairdresser/lover. The definition of Hollywood Slime.

This is neither here nor there, but the Beatty character in Shampoo was actually based on Jay Sebring.

Is Jon Peters the guy talked about in Evening With Kevin Smith?
