Who knew populism had a strict "no girls" rule?
Thomas B. Edsall at The Huffington Post has a feature up asking political movers and shakers about John Edwards' populism. It's a good thing that of the 14 people Edsall interviewed, zero are women--because as we all know, women have historically not given a shit about issues of inequality, economic security and good jobs. Nah, that's for boys.
(Oh, and I'm almost certain that all those deemed shmancy enough to interview are white as well. Shocking.)

Well, you know, that's all "nanny state" stuff. Right?
I'd like to see someone tear the right a new one, paralleling their "nanny state" rhetoric with a feminist "daddy state," where women don't have to bother themselves with work outside the home, which, you know, is all feminism's fault n shit.
Liberal and conservative men are two sides of the same patriarchal coin. It is a sad realization to come to, but c'est la vie. Or rather, c'est le patriarcat.
Anyone thinking of voting for Edwards is crazy. The man built his platform on poverty... he had to move from Raleigh, NC to Chapel Hill because he couldn't pay his taxes... then built himself a nice bowling alley in his home. And as everyone knows, the famous $400 haircut. Even with the feminization of poverty, no women are surveyed on most of his polls. So I'd say he's doing a great job handling poverty.

First, keep in mind that it was not anyone involved in the Edwards campaign that conducted the poll (to my knowledge)
Second, if you're going to turn the board into a "vote for my preferred presidential candidate" let's stop pretending that the $400 hair cut is some huge deal politically that shows just how hypocritical he is. It's a dumb news byte. I probably won't vote for him, but I'm not going to forget that of the top 3 candidates he's the best on LGBT rights, abortion rights/women's health, and poverty.
What really disheartens me is how few women are on the staffs of all presidential candidates outside of Hillary Clinton.
