I don't know what it's saying, but I know it's sexist
It's like the Real Doll booze fantasy from hell.

I have no idea what they are saying either, but from her tone, perhaps she is 'complaining'...
Doesnt matter though, that commercial is disturbing.
The translation, according to YouTube commenters:
female: "The sun doesnt shine too much, its terrible here..."
female: "You couldnt choose a better place, good thing is, that you have peace for your sport (that is newspapers)"
female" ouch, this hurts, what kind of blanket (?) did you take?! ...and could you stop reading while I am talking to you?!"
female: "... why we didn't come here in July?"
male: "in the ideal world, you can female just blow off. In the real world is you, who must sometimes blow off...
Fernet Stock...
...Because even men has their days..."
So, yeah, it's basically all about how nothing women say is important and wouldn't it be nice if you didn't have to pretend to care?
i honestly had to pick up my chin to close my jaw after watching this. i mean, WHO THINKS THIS IS OKAY?!?
Ah beer ads, they never fail to disgust me.
Huh. So far most of the YouTube comments are saying it's creepy and nasty. But I'm sure the usual trolls will come out from under their bridges soon enough.
WHAT. THE. FUCK.
What? WHAT?!
Who could ever think that that was OK?!
Oh for a world without such advertising...I swear that is one thing that hasn't moved on AT ALL...
I asked my 8yr old son to watch this and to tell me what the message was. His first response was that beer was better than wives. When I asked him to watch it again, and to tell me what was happening on the beach, he told me that the woman was giving her opinion and the man didn't like her opinion, so he deflated her. I expected him to use the phrase "let her air out", so the word "deflated" really hit me, I think because it so aptly describes how many women feel when they are silenced in some way. Anyway, though in a different language than the one he speaks, my son clearly understood the subtext of this ad.
Okay, what I really don't get is... if she's inflatable, how is she talking?!
There were a couple of the usual apologist types on Jezebel who just COULDN'T figure out what everyone was OFFENDED about because it wasn't NECESSARILY sexist and nobody could prove to them that it was.
I have been trying to learn to laugh and move on in the face of such intractable denial/ignorance because anything short of explicit dialogue (i.e. "Boy do I hate women. Want another beer?")would be insufficient to convince them that something was up.
This is revolting. Shouldnt they have legal television requirements to keep sexist crap like this out of tv advertisements?
appalling. That is the word i have to say about it.
All of the beer commercials I know are sexist.
Mommytona- Kudos on showing this to your son and asking him what he thought about it. Kind of disproves that idea what we feminists are just looking for any chance to be angry about something.
And even more important, your fortunate son is learning to be a critical thinker. It is so important to involve female AND male children in talking about feminist issues.
