He's getting HUGE. Is the cat yours as well?

My dog (who lost her only dog buddy a month ago) thinks that my cat is a dog. Poor girl doesn't understand why kitty hates roughhousing and buttsniffs. :(

OMG this is so cute and I love your tagline

Neidra is my baby, it's Ann who isn't a cat fan.

Ha! That is such a superficial peace agreement! Look at the fed up look in their eyes. You know they are gonna be mega naughties when you leave the house!

So effing cute!

They both have the same look on their face. The look that says, "I'm only doing this for you but I don't mean it AT ALL!".

Hooray! I have to say, Monty is really cute for a dog, but I'm so much more of a cat person.

that could never happen in my house. My dog is the world's most obnoxious animal, mind you he's very sweet to humans. Other animals can't stand him, however. He's also so non-confrontational that he actually gets chased by cats much of the time.

Do you find that he has a "herding" instinct which he acts out around other animals? My parents have an Aussie shepherd who has the most obnoxious habit of trying to herd the cat, the pomeranian, and small children. He physically pushes them off course when they try to walk past him, just for the hell of it, as if they were sheep and it were his job. I find it rather hilarious actually, but my cat and 3-year old cousin do not...Is Monty so in touch with his shepherding roots?

He doesn't herd, he just always wants to play/sniff/hump. the humping part is the worst, and the most embarrassing. He's been neutered......I don't know what the deal is.

Monty definitely herds me and the boyfriend (who shall from this day me known as My Monty's Daddy) when we take him for walks. It's hilarious.

Ann, are you aware that we have to pull your feminist card for the lack of cat love?

Monty is getting so big! It seems like only yesterday he was chewing through your laptop cord. Ah, dogs destroying property...good times....

My cat and dog used to cuddle against each other all the time when we weren't watching, and they even slept together on cold nights. Then, when they realized we were looking at them and going "awwww", Dog would give Cat this look, as if saying "C'mon, humans looking, you know the drill, run away and pretend that I'm chasing you". Cat would look at him as if saying "Ok, just give me a head start and don't come too close this time!" I guess they thought they had to behave as Cat & Dog to earn their keep or something...

They look as if they've had a frank exchange of views or possibly aired their differences. It might be too early for them to seek common ground or focus on shared objectives. But they may be able to understand each other's viewpoint even if they cannot wholly share it.

OMG!!!!! I've been away for a couple of months, and Monty's all grown up. He grew a whole face and nose and ears our of that darling little ball of fur.
