Must. See.

The name alone is enough to make me want to see this movie. Add in my love for feminist graffiti, and I'm sold.

Babbit's movie is really fun! I have seen it twice now in the LA area. It grazes the surface a of some pretty complex feminist issues, however my feminist friends say it is not feminist enough. My lesbian friends, who don't identity as feminists said it wasn't lesbian enough . . . I think Babbit did a brilliant job of making these ideas accessible to an audience that might not be familiar with feminist theory, history and struggles. I am grateful we have this movie as a starting point to get some dialogue in a community that does not prescribe to any ideas if feminism. Though it is campy and at some points trite, Itty Bitty Titty Committee is really brilliant and fun! Great sex scenes too! Go see it and know that for all you feminist it may be simple, but it's good time!

I have wanted to see for effing MONTHS. Sadly, I am nowhere near any screenings that have happened or are scheduled right now, so I guess I have to wait for DVD. :(

Don't forget where you can get your own feminist graffiti, er, stickers. :)

Oh and I have no tie to the stickers other than being a HUGE fan.

Wow. This is exactly what America needs: a movie about feminists and lesbians shown in a positive light, in which they fight the system and find a way to get their messages across. I too will have to wait for it to be released on DVD, but it appears that the movie is well worth the wait. The “Itty Bitty Titty Committee is another great movie that has women outside of the dominant homogeneous group as the main roles. It not only opens the minds of people who may not be exposed to people who live their lives outside the dominant norm, but it gives women who may be struggling with their sexuality a sense of power by showing that it is acceptable to live one’s life as a open lesbian. The only problem I have is that this is the first time I’ve heard of it, and I wish it was getting more media attention.

Oh thank goodness. I heard this movie's title mentioned in passing a few months back and I was sure it'd be a frat boy's wet dream.

a lot of women, especially anyone who identifies with the riot grrrl movement, will be very disappointed with this movie.

I just saw this last night.

I thought it was hysterical, mostly bc it did such a good job of parodying everything--even lesbian feminist cliches. It also exposed the whole brick wall thing challenging the stud complex w/ a more feminine role, which was subversive. It was trans friendly while being woman/feminist positive, and the girl from the l word that plays max is in it. It was also HOT, by the way.

The thing is, sometimes even the riot grrrl movement needs to laugh at itself.

Laughter is fucking amazing and you will definitely laugh.

This is the first I have heard of it. It looks really good. I hope the DVD is release fairly soon.

Did I not see clearly or were the women spraypainting "women come in all shapes" all...the same shape?

midge-ratchet,
Why would those that identify with the riot grrrl movement be disappointed?

This looks -SO- -RAD-. I'm heartbroken that I missed the LA run. Does anyone know of other screenings in SoCal?
