Fun with Feminist Flickr (cute uteri edition)

Awww, I wish I had three uteri. I'd even settle for my one if it came with a goofy grin like that.

or
wait for it...
cuteri!
I'm highly annoyed that I didn't think of that first. *Pouts*
Those ARE cute! And I'm not generally a fan of my uterus. Maybe if it had a cute cartoon face like that and didn't cause me so much grief..
Do you think I could get a custom-made one with only one ovary and a little bandaid on its face?
I would totally put that on my keychain.
CUTERI! excellent punnage!
I saw the coin and got all giddy that these were uteri coin purses (I guess that's just for scale)? But I don't think they are, looking at the link...maybe they (or I...duh) should make one! I would rock that all over town, fo sho.
I just got uterus underwear from harveyandeileen! My OB thinks it's a scream.
The use of red beads for menstruation reminds me of Kiki Smith's piece "untitled (train)".

A friend of mine at art school made a giant uterus out of foam and fabric, big enough for her to climb into and curl up. When she presented it to our class, everyone wanted to have a turn curling up in it, and she was like "NO! This is like my mother's uterus guys, and I'm not letting anyone in!" I think she gave it to her Mom for mother's day.
tbh i was a little surprised you didn't, jessica.
that's ok though, you are still my hero.
I'm going to make one for a friend of mine, with beaded endometriosis. Well, the friend just had regular endometriosis; the felt one will have the beads.
I want one, but are those little beads supposed to be ovaries? How come they only have one ovary each? Will they make me one with one fallopian tube, and two ovaries, to reflect my current state of affairs? :-)
I can't take credit for this photo (I'm Harvey & Eileen) but this is from a photo collection of uterus crafts and these can be bought from a girl on Etsy: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=6213859

My husband looked over my shoulder and had a short conversation with himself, "What are those? Oh, wait, let me guess! They're sea monkeys?!"
I died laughing. He had a "d'oh! moment" when I told him what they were.
Haha. "Sea monkey" is so going to be my next euphemism for uterus.
By the way - cuteri! I love it!
Eeeeeee! They're even cuter than this!
I'm fairly certain the little beads are eggs...
They're eggs? Then were are the ovaries? I'M CONFUSED!
But they're still really cute.
Does anyone else think those things look like the big red monster from the old Bugs Bunny cartoons?
I wonder if they'd make me ones with ovaries that are all covered in cysts.
BTW, the penis toss game is hilarious too. I kind of want it.
OK, I just noticed that the one on the right has its period. I'm surprised it's still smiling.
i'm in the middle of my period right now and i can tell you that my uterus is definitely NOT smiling. it's got on its angry face and it's flipping everyone off.
Yes, let's see some customized uterus pillows / coin purses / fanny packs (to be worn in front). Removed ovaries, Caesarean scars, PMS frowns, multiparous cervices... And a post- hysterectomy uterus with a halo.
a little late, but you just reminded me of the Knitty Womb Pattern.
Eeeeeee! They're even cuter than this!
