Monday Monty Blogging (towel-dried edition)

towelmonty.jpg

I'm at my parents' house in Woodstock, NY trying to breathe some country air into my city lungs. And while it's great up here for relaxing and getting writing done, being in the woods provides way too many opportunities for Monty to get wet and roll around in the mud. Though he certainly doesn't seem to mind. Check out his "before" shot after the jump.

Cuteness surge...system insufficiently caffeinated to handle the strain...brain overloading...

Honestly, he is the sweetest looking little thing. If you could figure out a way to fabricate a virtual Monty for us all to hug when something depressing gets posted, you could charge five cents a shot and still make a fortune.

Monty -- now that you're sufficiently dried, how about taking a quick trip to CCSU? Students there are protesting the student newspaper, The Recorder -- you know, the one featuring the cartoon suggesting that a 14-year-old Latina is forced to drink urine? A blog is up: http://takebacktherecorder.blogspot.com -- but the students could surely use your support! Can you believe they have to pay student activities fees (no opt-out) for a newspaper that continues to threaten, demean, and harass them? You're lucky, Monty, to live among love.

Hope to see you there!!

Prof/activist, like I've said before--we're doing a post on this issue, and I appreciate your passion. But you need to stop hijacking threads. Thanks.

Aww, there's nothing greater than a freshly fluffed, towel-dried woofer. Stay clean, Monty!

my mom lives in Woodstock, too.....enjoy the fresh air! I bet it is gorgeous up there right now.

Monty looks so cozy and sweet. He's so frickin' adorable, it makes me want to scream (in a good way!).

I really love the Monday Monty Blogging - it's nice to have something cute start off my week.

Omg, muddy-faced Monty is so cute! My family has a Jack Russel terrier who loooooves to dig, and who always inevitably ends up covered in dirt from his snout to his ears.
He looks so cozy in his towel.

My family's poodle has his own hand-knit afghan. You need to get one of your aunts working on one for Monty.

hijacking -- ouch, sister! won't trouble you again. p/a

Don't take it personally, p/a! I just put up a post purely for plugging purposes, so if you want to post links to the story there until we get a chance to write about it, feel free.

Awe!!! OKay, I think Monty has convinced me that I might need to get a puppy when I get another dog!!

Moxie, I have a Jack Russell as well! She use to dig a lot! But she's now 13 and doesn't dig anymore! (which is good cause she doesn't have to get in the tub everyday)
