Aw shucks. A big thanks to reader Erin for nominating me; I'm super flattered.
Voted for sure!! Best of luck Jessica!
You are so welcome, it was truly my pleasure. What a great contest, and yes everyone get over there and vote!
Totally voted. And there are only 10 contestants? I think Jessica has a very good chance. :)
congrats jessica! i stumbled upon feministing a few months ago while hungrily searching the internet for anything and everything having to do with feminism, and i now read it religiously.
i really love the way the blog is handled and it's so great to have this sort of gathering place for youngish feminists!
plus, my name is jessica too, so you obviously got my vote ;)
(not that every 5th woman age 12 - 30 isn't named jessica...)
Awesome! Congratulations!
congrats Jessica
yipppeee :)
i hope you win
rock on
BRAVO!
proof again that you are changing lives!
That's exciting! And to be in the company of so many accomplished, inspirational women. I'm really happy to see the inclusion of so many women of color on the list.
I voted and submitted to Digg. Good luck! You definitely deserve to win.
Wasn't glamour the magazine publishing the gray-rape junk? Something's a little gray here.
That was Cosmo, hdawg. And even though Glamour is pretty much in the same category, if someone like Jessica won this contest, A LOT of women would gain exposure to her, her work, and feminism. And I think that'd be awesome.
oh, it's cosmo that's declassifying rape. enh. i don't enjoy "reading" g either, but i'm hesitant to belittle the vote. i'll write a quick email to The Economist, suggesting they start rating top women too.
